For years, family and friends alike have asked, “How do you do it?”

How do we take three boys on extended vacations to far flung destinations? It’s easy. We are either one of two things: fearless or crazy, or maybe just the right mix of both.

Too many of our friends let the fear hold them back.  Don’t do it.  Sometimes you have to let go and take the path less traveled.  Believe me when I say, the effort you put into the planning will come back to you ten fold.  The memories you will create with your children will be priceless.  But don’t take my word for it, try it yourself and feel free to ask me any questions along the way. That’s what I’m here for.

  1. I was very excited to see your blog. I am a mother of 2 children with peanut allergies. Knowing the consequences of these allergies, it certainly is a task to travel not to mention to travel out of the the country.
I have done years of homework in order to keep my children safe as well as educate them, the entire school district and set forth policies that help all children go from dependent to independent. Unfortunately our travels were a whole new experience and I wish this blog was available when I started traveling out of the country. We have gone to Italy, Paris, Switzerland, as well as other places. Maybe we can compare notes. It’s hard to get an airline to not roast peanuts in first class when going on flights this long. With enough knowledge and determination, We can keep our kids safe and teach them to stay safe on their own.

Thank you for your hard work in putting this together.

  2. Tina,
Thank you for reaching out to me. Your schools are so lucky to have someone like you advocating not only for your children, but for other children as well. Thankfully, our schools are very sensitive to all allergies. I truly commend them for this.
I would love to compare notes. Our dream is to be able to take our kids to China in a few years, which is one of the reasons why I started this blog. I know I need to research and find out if this is even an option. So many people are skeptical when I even say that aloud, but I really want to find a way to make it work. Let the research begin!
